A Self Assessment of your Wellness is necessary to determine where you want to start to make changes in your life to help reduce and prevent STRESS.
Evaluation of the Five Areas of Wellness (on a scale from 0 -10 - ten being the best you can imagine is essential. They are Physical, Emotional Social, Spiritual and Mental. This evaluation will give you a base line from which to measure your progress!
Do you understand that your reactions to a stress trigger come from your perspective of the situation?
Are you an Optimist or a Pessimist? How do you view your world?
In order to be more positive and optimistic you must think about positive experiences,
learn how to make lemonade from lemons and be willing to open up your mind to making changes in yourself and your lifestyle!
Can you put a stop to your habitual reactions to stressful issues, count to 10, and think
before reacting or remove yourself from the situation before you react?
Conflict Management is key to learning new ways to solve problems with others.
Letting Go of Negative Thinking means letting go of negative situations,
events and feelings that are keeping you STUCK – Try EFT (emotional freedom technique) to help disconnect your emotions from the events that are reeling in your head – keeping you awake at night, preventing you from moving forward making decisions, contributing to your sadness and anxiety.
Learn to be mindful. Use every moment to the fullest and be aware of what you believe, what you are thinking, how you are feeling, what you are doing, what you are seeing, hearing, tasting, touching and feeling.
Use Cognitive Behavioural Therapy strategies to understand how to break habitual ways of thinking about difficult issues that you find stressful.
